The International Panel Physicians Association (IPPA) is proud to share the success of our Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Training Program, an initiative made possible through the support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the CDC Cooperative Agreement. This program was designed to connect Panel Physicians worldwide through direct, collaborative learning.

Over the past months, the P2P program has brought together colleagues from diverse regions and practice settings to exchange knowledge, compare clinical and laboratories practices, and strengthen the quality of immigration medical examinations. Through on-site visits, participants have gained valuable insights into best practices, laboratory processes, and innovative approaches to patient care.

Key Outcomes

  • Knowledge Exchange: Physicians reported that observing different clinic and laboratory workflows provided practical ideas they could adapt to their own settings.
  • Improved Quality: Participants identified opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen infection control practices, and streamline patient flow.
  • Collaborative Solutions: Constructive discussions highlighted challenges faced across countries and fostered problem-solving strategies rooted in shared experience.
  • Professional Growth: Many physicians expressed that the program not only improved their technical skills but also reinforced their sense of belonging to a global network.

“This experience was eye-opening. I returned with practical tools to improve my clinic and a stronger commitment to serving migrants with the highest standards of care.” – Program Participant

Looking Ahead

Building on these promising first steps, IPPA will continue to shape the future of the P2P program. The vision is to expand these opportunities to more clinics and laboratories worldwide, with a focus on peer collaboration, quality improvement, and sustainable training for our members.

Further details on participation and future exchanges will be shared as the program develops.

Together, we are building excellence—one peer connection at a time.
