Foundations for Immigrant and Refugee Health Screening in Latin America Workshop

International Panel Physicians Association (IPPA), in partnership with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and International Organization for Migration (IOM), is facilitating an in-person workshop in San Jose, Costa Rica (July 25 - 26, 2024): Foundations for Immigrant and Refugee Health Screening in Latin America.

The focus audience for this training is new panel physicians and physicians who have not been able to attend an in-person training in several years. This workshop will build participant capacity to conduct health assessments and other requirements for US-bound refugees, parolees, and immigrants. Sessions include foundational technical instructions and considerations for special populations related to family reunification, Safe Mobility Offices (SMO), and Operation Enduring Welcome for Afghans. Please note, if you were planning to attend both this training and the summit in Thailand, much of the content will be repeated. You may reach out with any questions.
