Scientific Poster Session

IPPA and the Summit Advisory Committee welcome all Summit delegates to participate in the Annual Intergovernmental Poster Session. The Summit Advisory Committee is an independent advisory group comprised of members from the Intergovernmental Panel Physician communities, partner organizations, partner government department representatives and other experts, as appropriate. The Committee provides expert feedback, advice, and information in the preparation and planning of the Panel Physician Training Summits held annually by the governments of the Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States, in partnership with the International Panel Physician Association (IPPA). In addition, the Committee assists in the development and execution of Training Summit events and activities.

Purpose of the Poster Session:

  1. To share knowledge about topics relevant to Panel Physician training, education and practice.
  2. To stimulate discussion and problem-centered learning through appropriate and relevant real world scenarios.
  3. To convey ideas in a manner that allows readers to grasp key concepts in a short time period.
  4. To present findings from authors’ daily practice and research which have been useful to improve panel site operations, clinical activities, functions, and/or procedures. Authors can generalize findings or data to support the best practices presented.
  5. To present information that is visually pleasing and text that is easy to read.
  6. To present material that is understood by and relevant to diverse audiences who will attend the Summit.

The Poster Session will be held during the 2020 Intergovernmental Panel Physicians Training Summit. The Summit will take place March 9-13, 2020 in the Royal Room at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens, Greece. Posters will remain on display through the last day of the conference. The Poster is a graphic presentation of authors' ideas and/or research. The authors illustrate their findings by displaying graphs, photos, diagrams and text on printed posters.

The SAC welcomes all topics related to Panel Physician practice including. Suggested poster session topics include

  • Electronic Record Management
  • Refugee Health
  • Risk Management
  • Natioanl and/or Regional Challenges and Solutions
  • Mental Health Guidelines
  • Outbreak Response Strategies
  • Vaccination Protocols

The DEADLINE for Abstract Submission is: February 10, 2020.

Submit your abstract through the online application, or abstracts can be submitted via email to info@panelphysician.org. Participants will be notified of acceptance by February 15, and must be in attendance at the time of the poster session on March 12, 2020.

Submit Scientific Research

All poster session abstracts will be reviewed by the SAC for relevance and accepted submissions will be presented at the. Posters will be graded by a review committee and the audience. All authors will be recognized for their participation.
